ANSWER

There is still a residual infiltrate in the left side with increased pleural thickening in the right side However, there is significant improvement, with residual infection. We were questioning when to step down anti-fungal treatment, and when to discharge her.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?


Our decision:
To discontinue the Ambisone for possible renal side effects and to continue caspofungin for 6 weeks due to its safety and efficacy. A repeat chest CT scan was scheduled in 6 weeks.
